Loss of a key person

We helped a mortgage lender implement a new structure that stabilized business performance, following a sudden change in leadership.

The Challenge

Our client was a top 10 UK mortgage lender. Amongst challenging market conditions and a sudden and unexpected change in executive leadership, they found themselves without an operating executive for the business.

We were asked to support the acting Managing Director through a fundamental company re-organisation whilst ensuring successful ongoing delivery of the business unit’s performance.

Our Approach

We worked closely with the acting Managing Director to stabilize and restructure the business.

Firstly, we assisted with selecting and appointing the new leadership team.

We then restructured the business to include a new organisational design and fit for purpose governance structure.

And we provided ongoing management of the staff retention approach, to make sure that key people stayed in the business throughout this uncertain time. 

The Outcome

We were acknowledged by both the parent company and the acting Managing Director for stabilising business performance, while undergoing a complete restructure.
