Our client was in the middle of developing its three to five year vision and roadmap. The strategy team had engaged the wider business and started to build an initial view of what investment would be required, in addition to their existing significant portfolio of change projects.
They asked PEN to ensure the portfolio was aligned to their long term vision and strategy, and to help prioritise and reduce their overall portfolio.
We started by refining the vision into something which engaged business leaders. We also needed to help leaders see how the business could get there, which meant illustrating the optimum operating model to deliver on that vision.
Through bringing this operating model to life, we were able to highlight the investment that would be required over the course of the transformation.
We ensured the plan was thoroughly sequenced, that the dependencies were clearly laid out and that it was tested it to ensure it was realistic and achievable.
The client has benefited from a refinement of their five year vision, adding value to their business. Their change portfolio has been optimised and with our help, the senior team is now fully invested in the transformation roadmap.
