Digitalising client reporting capabilities

We were engaged to develop a business case for the digitalisation of the reporting capability to increase efficiency levels and reduce productions time

The challenge

The client was expending 25k person days p.a. in the production of 2m client and product reports.

This was deemed highly inefficient and required digital transformation to address underlying technology and data deficiencies.

PEN was engaged to develop a business case for the digitalisation of the reporting capability to increase efficiency levels and reduce productions time.

Our approach

PEN adopted a collaborative approach, working with multiple stakeholders to:

  • Agree the Target Operation Model and system architecture
  • Select appropriate vendor partners
  • Quantify potential benefits
  • Develop the delivery plan and identify key dependencies

The outcome

The business case, which was approved by the Board, identified:

  • £4.3m of annual efficiency savings across FTE and technology rationalisation
  • Improved processing time opportunities
  • Reduced manual intervention
  • Reduced technological dependencies (through selection of appropriate vendors and technologies)
